Dr. Sara Berke is a Board-Certified Optometric Physician with experience in various ophthalmology and optometry practices in South Florida. Dr. Berke completed her undergraduate studies at Florida State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with Minors in Chemistry and Spanish. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Berke earned her doctorate degree at NSU College of Optometry in Davie, Florida where she graduated with honors and was a member of both the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society and Gold Key International Honors Society. Following graduation, Dr. Berke stayed at NSU to complete her residency in Cornea and Contact Lens with a focus on restoring vision to patients with challenging cases through the use of rigid gas permeable contact lenses.
Dr. Berke completed her externship rotations during school specializing in ocular disease treatment and management at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in South Florida. She also completed training in primary eye care with emphasis on diabetic and glaucoma eye conditions, refractive and cataract surgery co-management, pediatric vision therapy, and in specialty contact lens fitting.
Dr. Berke is involved locally in the Palm Beach County Optometric Association, statewide in the Florida Optometric Association, and nationally with the American Optometric Association. Dr. Berke also owns a private practice in West Palm Beach where she practices routine and medical eye care as well as provides patients high-quality eye wear and custom eye wear at the on-site boutique optical.
When not seeing patients, she loves spending time with her friends and family, cooking, working out and designing custom eye wear.
