Nunzio Sossi, M.D.

Nunzio Sossi, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Sossi graduated from University of Milan, Ph. D. magna cum laude, in biochemistry. His academic career continued at the University of Miami where he earned his Medical Degree (M.D.). Dr. Sossi’s postgraduate training included an internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, Pediatric Department. He followed up his internship with a residency at the University of Pittsburgh Eye & Ear Institute and a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego, Cornea & Anterior Segment Surgery. He completed a Research Fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in glaucoma, retina and cornea. He was a Research Fellow at the N.I.H., National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, and a Visiting Scientist at Vanderbilt University, Neuropsychiatry IN Nashville, TN.
