Anup Kubal, M.D.​

Dr. Anup Kubal is a Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery specialist. Dr. Kubal attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He went on to complete his internship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and his residency at the top-ranked Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He completed his Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, where he currently serves as Voluntary Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. He was formerly an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida from 2010 to 2016, where he served as Director of the Refractive Surgery service and Director of Medical Student Education in Ophthalmology. He is currently the Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery AUPO accredited Fellowship Program Director at the combined Palm Beach Eye Specialists/Your Eye Specialists Program since 2018.

Dr. Anup Kubal is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Palm Beach County Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Anup Kubal performs LASIK evaluations and procedures. In addition to refractive surgery, his clinical interests include cataract surgery and premium intraocular lens implants, corneal transplantation including lamellar or partial thickness corneal transplantation, and ocular surface surgeries including removal of pterygium and ocular surface tumors. He was one of the first surgeons in South Florida performing Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK).

Dr. Kubal was born and raised in New Jersey but currently resides in Palm Beach County with his wife and their children. In his free time, Dr. Kubal enjoys traveling with his family.
